I
haven’t flown since I was 12 years old, and apparently most people are used to
flying more than that given everyone’s calm composure during take-off while I was white-knuckling it until the plane was stable and smooth at 33,000 feet. My eyes
were glued to the window, the mountains were so pretty from an aerial view. Flying through huge clouds: Coolest. Thing. Ever. I am
already blown away and it isn’t even Day 1 yet. I think it’s amazing how geometric everything
is from the window view of the plane. Squares and circles with perfect lines.
Passing through security and everything at the airport went smoothly. It
was interesting to people-watch at the Gate, and hear all the different languages. I asked a young man sitting next to me a question. His eyes
got really wide, and he responded with a thick French accent. Love it. I had some really interesting conversations with the guy next to me about religion.
Passing through so many different time zones is trippy. TIme to attempt to sleep so I can stay awake through the Spanish day.
